ADVOCATE:
HELP US AMPLIFY OUR REACH & IMPACT

The stark realities of poverty in our county are more than just numbers; they represent the daily struggles of our neighbors.  One-third of the county population is a food pantry client, and child poverty rates are alarmingly high*, the need for our food pantry has never been more urgent. YOU are a vital part of our mission. Your voice and your actions can help us reach more people, influence meaningful change, and create a future where no one in Jeff Davis County goes hungry.

Becoming a Food Pantry advocate is easier than you might think. Here are some ways you can help:
  • Share Our Message: Use your social media platforms to share stories and facts about hunger in our community.
  • Volunteer: Join us! We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. Click HERE to learn more.
  • Educate Others: Talk to your friends and neighbors about food insecurity in our community and how they can help. Sign up for our email newsletters and forward them to people who might be interested in our work.
  • Engage with Elected Officials: Write letters, make calls, or schedule meetings with your local, state, and national representatives to advocate for policies that support food security.
  • Assist with Fundraisers: Help us raise the necessary funds to continue our work by assisting us with fundraising events such as Harvest Bowl, Hunger Challenge Hike, and food drives.
  • Tour our Facility / Talk to our Executive Director:  Take a firsthand look at what we do and how it impacts the community. Email us to schedule a visit: [email protected]
