Grants Manager
Position Type: Part-time, 5–10 hours per week
Employment Status: Contract (W-2 negotiable)
Reports to: Executive Director
Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Negotiable based on qualifications.
ABOUT US
The Food Pantry of Jeff Davis County serves approximately one-third of our county’s population through our core Pantry Plus program (twice-a-month food distribution), Pack-a-Lunch (PAL) for school-age pantry clients, Kids Pantry at the Jeff Davis County Library, Classroom Snacks program for all public school students, and a Senior Box program for very low-income senior citizens. Other services include online ordering, multiple distribution locations, home delivery to qualifying clients. Operating from a 4,000-square-foot warehouse, we’ve built our programs on an abundance mentality, trusting our clients and removing as many barriers to access as possible. With an annual budget of $381,400, we serve approximately 558 clients across 250 households in one of the oldest (by age) and most rural counties in the US.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Grants Manager to oversee all grant-related activities for our organization. This remote or hybrid position (5-10 hours per week, varying with grant cycles) is critical to our sustainability and succession planning. As our Executive Director prepares to retire in 2027, this role ensures continuity of our foundation relationships and funding streams. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed professional who can work independently while collaborating closely with leadership to translate our mission into compelling narratives that resonate with funders.
