Development/Fundraising Administrative Assistant
Part-time: 5–15 hours/week
Pay: $15/hour
Position Summary:
The Development & Fundraising Admin Assistant will support the Development Committee Chair by providing administrative, communications, and logistical support for fundraising and donor engagement activities. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about making a community impact.
Work hours vary significantly based on the fundraising cycles and event schedules, ranging from approximately 5-15 hours per with some weeks requiring minimal (1-2) hours and others requiring maximum availability (15 hrs).

Primary Responsibilities:
- Donor Database Support
- Maintain and update donation records in Givebutter (our Donor Management Software)
- Ensure gifts are accurately classified and attributed
- Track donor recognition steps (e.g., thank you notes, calls, etc.)
- Donor Stewardship & Acknowledgment
- Draft and send thank-you letters, emails, and handwritten notes
- Follow up with board members and volunteers for donor recognition tasks
- Schedule donor meetings and calls on behalf of the Development Chair or Executive Director
- Fundraising Events & Campaign Support
- Assist with event planning and logistics
- Help prepare materials such as nametags, signage, and donor packets
- Maintain tracking spreadsheets for donor outreach and event tasks
- Communications Support
- Post pre-written or approved content to the Pantry's social media and websites
- Help prepare communications, press releases, advertisements to local media, Pantry supporters, and the community at large.
- Distribute flyers or other hard-copy materials in the community as needed
- Office Organization & Administrative Support
- Organize physical and digital fundraising-related files and supplies
- Support general office tasks that contribute to development efforts
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and/or Microsoft Office
- Comfortable learning user-friendly donor management platforms such as GiveButter, Constant Contact
- Friendly, professional, confident communication style
- Ability to work independently with direction from board volunteers and collaborate effectively with board members across fundraising activities
- Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Familiarity with Canva, Weebly, GiveButter, and/or Constant Contact
- Experience with donor relations or nonprofit communications
